Tom, Ryan, and Ariel have worked side by side for years — a trio of driven, hands-on professionals with a shared history of bringing projects and businesses to life, both big and small. With diverse experience and a deep respect for their craft, they’ve built Nova Peak on the principle that quality should never be compromised.
Tom and Ryan’s partnership was forged through a shared belief in doing things the right way — not just on paper, but in practice. With nearly 25 years in the construction industry, Tom has led everything from public infrastructure projects to private custom builds, holding roles as a project manager, operations manager, and director. Ryan, with over a decade of experience in the trades and a background in the military, brings precision, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. He’s worked as both site supervisor and project manager on projects of all sizes. Together, their portfolio includes high-profile work like the Argyle Street revitalization, Dartmouth Crossing, Bedford Institute of Oceanography, the Carpenters’ Union headquarters, and even Sidney Crosby’s personal residence.

Tom Brown
With nearly 25 years in the construction industry, Tom brings unmatched experience and steady leadership to Nova Peak. Having held roles from Project Manager to Director of Operations, he’s overseen major commercial and public infrastructure projects across Nova Scotia. Tom is deeply committed to doing things right the first time — with honesty, integrity, and an eye for the big picture. He’s the kind of guy who remembers every detail, treats every project like it’s his own, and always has his team’s back.
When he’s not working, Tom enjoys tackling projects on his hobby farm, exploring new places, and feeding his curiosity by learning something new. A lifelong hockey fan with a love of adventure, his greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife and their rescue dog, Bane.

Ryan O'Leary
Ryan pairs sharp technical expertise with a calm, client-focused approach. With over a decade in the trades and a background in the military, he brings discipline, clear communication, and a hands-on leadership style to every job site. His experience spans from site supervision to project management on high-profile builds, and he’s never one to cut corners. Ryan is passionate about creating positive client experiences — and his approachable charm makes him a favourite with crews and clients alike.
When he’s not on site, Ryan enjoys the slower pace of home life. He spends time outdoors with his two rescue dogs, tends to his vegetable garden, and often finds himself experimenting in the kitchen. A longtime music lover, there's almost always a playlist on in the background.

Ariel Hitchon
Ariel is the powerhouse behind the scenes — managing everything from client coordination to finances, marketing, and operations. With a keen eye for strategy and a passion for both people and process, she keeps the company running smoothly while ensuring clients feel heard, valued, and informed. Ariel has been part of Nova Peak from the ground up, helping shape its values and voice. She brings creative energy, a sharp mind, and a human-first approach to everything she does.
In her free time, you’ll likely find her in the garden, out for a walk with her husband and rescue dog, or caring for her chickens. She’s a lover of plants, painting, birds, travel, and slow mornings — always dreaming big and imagining what’s next.
